Little Movies brings to its services a depth of talent and experience unfound these days with film production companies. Our specialization in high quality film productions for commercial and non-commercial use make us unique among production companies, as well as our ability to work directly with distributors to ensure a product is seen by people.

Creative Process

We work closely with the client to develop the appropriate tools for their needs – whether it’s to sell a product, a message, or create behavioral change. Emphasis is placed on script development, appropriate use of film or video, and innovative distribution strategies.

Production (pre/post)

Little Movies has an established record with over 40 years experience in film and video productions including short films, advertisements, public service announcements, and documentaries. Our experience with large-scale, high quality productions ensures timely and appropriately budgeted projects. We have extensive shooting experience throughout the New England and New York areas, with additional international consulting experience in Africa and Southeast Asia.

Little Movies maintains strategic partnerships with Rule Broadcasting, New England’s premier equipment company, and Finish Editorial, one of the Northeast’s top editorial houses.

Distribution

Since Little Movies specializes in the production of theatrical short films, we have established relationships with major theatrical distribution companies who cover the entire country. Unlike most production companies, we have in-depth knowledge and experience with the movie distribution business and are able to work with clients to target the distribution of products to key demographic markets. Additionally, we have over 12 years experience with Internet based technologies and new media formats such as CD-ROM, DVD and streaming video. As these technologies mature, we are well positioned to offer addition distribution services.

Education

For the last 8 years Edward Carfano, Little Movies’ President and Co-founder, has served as an Adjunct Professor at the Boston University School of Public Health teaching the course “Video Production and Advertising for Public Health Professionals.” This is the only course of its kind taught in the entire country. Each semester public health students turn themselves into an advertising agency and launched a media campaign on a public health topic of their choosing. The result is the production of a 30 second public service announcement and campaign website that are broadcast on the local media outlets in the Boston area. Recent topics have included rape crisis services, pro-quitting/anti-smoking, mental illness and divorce.
