Little Movies has a rich history in three sectors: film, advertising and technology, and brings together an eclectic mix of talent and skill. We have over 40 years experience with film, video and marketing, 30 years experience in the area of public serve and public health, and 12 years experience in the field of Internet based technologies and new media formats.

Little Movies first began operations in 1960 specializing in 10-minute theatrical film productions. In 1961 Little Movies won an Academy Award in live action theatrical short for "Day of the Painter". In 1963 the company was disbanded and Ed Carfano formed a new film production company, Ed Carr Productions Ltd., in New York City. It's clients included Ford Motor Company, IBM, Xerox, North American Van lines, Nestles, and American Airlines. The years of film production included over 300 public service announcements. The most provocative and longest running (18 years) was the award winning "Like Father, Like Son" - an anti-smoking ad for the American Heart Association. This commercial was the first anti-smoking national campaign in the country. In 1996 Ed Carfano began been teaching film, video, and advertising at the Boston University School of Public Health. He became acquainted with Mr. Kerry Gallivan at that time - who brought to the discussions a strong background in emerging technologies and new media.
